Wine Snob helps wine novices
I already blogged about my favorite bartender app (Drinks), but it would be a disservice not to mention wine.

WineSnob (iTunes, $4.99)  is probably the best named application in the App Store and the graphics are gorgeous but it's not what you think. My original thought was that it was an online wine database that I could query while in the wine aisle looking for a nice Pinot Noir. It's not.

It's really designed to track your own wine tasting notes. Wine Snob allows you to enter your favorite wines with tasting notes, price, vintage, etc. Wine Snob also lets you save a picture of the label with each entry.

Wine Snob is also a capable wine dictionary that provides a nice refresher on wine terminology. It also helps you understand wine and food pairings (including cheeses), and varietals.

So while it may not be the ultimate wine snob's application, it's certainly helpful for wine novices and will help raise your wine IQ.
