WordPress iPhone client stresses the need for copy/paste and BT keyboard support

The WordPress tool lets you set up multiple blogs that you can manage from the application. You can create and edit your posts with support for tags, categories, and different status selections (pending review, private, published, or draft). You can add photos from your library or taken with you iPhone camera. It would be great to see Flickr integration as an option for adding photos too. You can even preview your post in the application so you can see how your post will appear on your blog.

Overall, I think this tool will increase the number of posts I personally make on my personal blog. However, this tool stresses even more the need for copy and paste support and the Bluetooth keyboard profile. I don't always have a connection with my iPhone and it would be handy to create a post offline in Notes or something and then copy that text into a blog post. If you write lengthy posts you are also not going to like using the on-screen keyboard for a long period of time. The Bluetooth radio in the iPhone will allow keyboard support and I think Apple needs to get that profile, and A2DP, updated soon.

UPDATE: It looks like my desire for copy and paste functionality may be coming from a 3rd party developer, which is what I was hoping for when 3rd party applications were supported in the 2.0 iPhone update. However, the developers are only able to get copy and paste functionality working in Notes so you cannot copy text you created in Notes and then paste it into a text field in Safari at this time. I don't think the Apple SDK allows interaction between applications, like you can with other mobile operating systems, so we may never see full functionality unless Apple provides it.

Now, let's hope Apple improves the current lame Bluetooth profile support on the iPhone. I haven't heard a peep from Apple on this though so my hopes are not too high for this additional functionality.
