Worldwide computer chip sales grew 18.3% in 2003 as the industry boomed in the second half, driven by rising consumer demand for electronics, trade industry groups said on Monday.
Worldwide computer chip sales grew 18.3% in 2003 as the industry boomed in the second half, driven by rising consumer demand for electronics, trade industry groups said on Monday. Sales rose to $166.4 bil last year from $140.8 bil in 2002, the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) group said. Similar growth pattern is expected in 2004.
