Next week on Wednesday, June 27th, Pepcom is holding their ultra-cool Digital Experience event for the press to come get a gander at a lot of cool gadgetry. Everything from notebooks and PCs to digital imaging gear and smartphones. ZDNet plans to be there in force. I'll be flying down from Massachusetts along with Matt Conner who'll be handling multimedia production (we'll be gathering lots of still images and video). Mary Jo Foley (already in New York) will be there as well. We've also got some folks from our sister organization News.com who will be there.

Last year, most of the press and journalists hung out for beers after the event. But while I was sipping a cold one, I was stressing out about all the content I had collected at the show and how I was going to get it all online in a reasonable amount of time. This year is even going to be more of a challenge since we'll be rolling video tape at the event.

So, what's the solution?

I asked the powers that be here at ZDNet if we could host a BlogHaus like the one that Podtech hosted at CES (we were there) so that people could have some place to go to file their stories, blogs, videos, etc. once the event was over and they said "yes" (thank you Stephen!). So, if you're a blogger/journalist who has content from Digital Experience that you need to get online or you just want to schmooze with other bloggers and press , I'll have connectivity, food and light cocktails (all free) to keep your creative juices flowing in a suite that's around the corner from the Metropolitan Pavilion (where Digital Experience is taking place). We'll open it up at 9pm, right after Digital Experience concludes. We have a limited amount of space. So, if you're interested in coming, let know via e-mail (at david.berlind@cnet.com) or find me at the event.
