IT vendor Acer is rewarding people who surrender their old computers with AU$120 vouchers, which can be used at the company's online store, as part of its new Recycle & Rewards program to tackle e-waste in Australia.

Computers can be handed in at Australia Post outlets, and Acer will collect them and dispose of them in an environmentally friendly way, according to the vendor. Acer has teamed up with Reverse E-Waste to disassemble computer parts and process them accordingly.

Acer is taking all brands of notebooks, netbooks, all-in-one PCs, tablets, and desktop computers, sans the monitors.

To be a part of the program, participants have to first sign up, and the vouchers can only be used at Acer's online store.
