Telstra yesterday sustained an eight-hour outage of its Digital Business lines, affecting thousands of customers across the country.
The Digital Business service, which is a bundled phone and internet package that includes Cisco handsets and Netgear routers, experienced an outage of the voice services between 7am and 3.15pm AEST yesterday.
Reports said that services were progressively restored across the nation, with Western Australia coming on after the rest of the country.
Telstra had indicated that the issue was with the underlying platform and not individual lines, but the company is investigating the cause of the outage.
"We are investigating the root cause of the outage and apologise to our customers for the inconvenience."
