Aussies targeted by e-tax scam


A number of people have been receiving emails purportedly from the Australian Taxation Office, saying that they are eligible to receive a tax refund, and asking them to click on a link to submit a request. The government's Stay Secure Online site and the ATO have both issued advice on how to handle these emails. Don't click on links or give out any information.

Refund scams

There are a number of refund scam emails currently circulating. These emails claim to come from the ATO and offer a tax refund.
