I have a Zune gen1
How does it feel to have to buy iPod after iPod?
@mdermuth
Should not "Neither" have been a choice?
Or was this done as the debate is only on the Zune vs iPod?
Interesting that being so late to the game, the Zune has enough to be the opponent of the iPod, and not the Zen, Samsung or Sony players which have been out longer.
I know...I know.....................
Well thats just silly......
more productive on a Mac. I'm not sure if creativity is ever
actually enhanced by any computer but rather it could be
enhanced by less effort towards getting a task done and
being about to concentrate on the actual task at hand.
Still none of these arguments cover an MP3 player and as
good as Apple is in making and designing the iPod I don't
even think Apple makes that claim about their palyers
Pagan jim
No, but...
Interesting that Duke would take the time to do
The numbers of users. The questions asked and were their
any tests to prove it one way or the other or was this just
opinion. Now I can't speak for them since no I was not
part of Dukes study and I an assure you that I have never
claimed the iPod has made me more productive or creative.
I has and I have claimed made my enjoyment of day to day
activities like walking and even working much nicer. It has
provided me with a great deal of entertainment and
distraction during grueling work outs. But not boost in
productivity unless you consider a happier employee more
productive as a bi product?

like programming given to a sponsor as a bonus for the ad buy.
Who bought the ads? Apple or Microsoft?
Don't give us details, but I hope that you are getting
compensated.

I woul like a pause button and a way to not need to got through the whole alphabet to find what I want. This last is minor; b ut the pause button would be great.

Umm the pause is the play button... (NT)
Grace, style, ellegance, class....
Back in the day, when the letters and numbers on computers were blocky and ugly as sin, Steve Jobs (Being a fan of quality books) thought, wouldn't it be nice to duplicate the old art of typesetting and make computers look as nice and ellegant as a old book with impeccible typesetting. Something far more enjoyable to look at. He went foward with that vision and fonts were born.
Apple is responsible for the vast majority of asthetics within all the computers we use today... Icons, GUI interfaces, style, design, etc. And yet, the fastest vista portable is made by Apple... Proof that they deliver the power better than anyone else.
The MP3 player is no different. Apple invents, creates, adds style and class as well as power, storage, and capability....
Microsoft... Well they just copy and claim they are better and hope some mindless shmucks will actually believe them. The iPod is the most popular because it is far better than anything out there.
The number one retort a MS Dork has to somone stating Apple is better than MS is "market share" in the Home computer arena... Yet these same morons continue to claim that the Zune is better than the iPod... I have set up 4 Zunes in my life... I hope and pray I never have to deal with another. Clumsy, cheep, lame, not even coming close to the bar set by Apple.
I am extremely picky about the quality of my digital music. Sure most of the trolls downloaded music for free via bit torrents, kazaa, napster, etc. But it is all seriously lacking in quality. Anyone with a brain can put those same songs on an iPod (but don't tell the trolls that).
Apple will get the market share, people just don't update thier home PCs as often or as redily as they will buy a new MP3 player.
The Zune has a niche... That niche is MS trolls who fear and hate change. They make claims that Apple sucks and that they are a pain in the rear, and yet have never had the nads to come close to a real Apple computer. I just don't see being able to squirt a song to a friend as being something I would ever want to do. The zune interface is clumsy. The Zune is ugly.
The kids in school with Zunes are the ones getting wedgies and getting thier butts kicked on a daily basis. They don't want a zune, they want an ipod or better yet, an iPhone. Zune??? Seriously??? Yeah right... Like comparing a Renault "Le' Car" to a modern BMW...
Enjoy your time on the radio Jason... Look forward to hearing you whoop some Zune butt.
