According to a preliminary report released by Gartner Apple ranked fourth in U.S market share in Q4 2008 at 8.0% - up from 6.7% in the fourth quarter of 2007, but down from 9.5% in the third quarter of 2008.

    • Kind of agree...

I expect Apple's market share to decrease from Q3 to Q4 however this is the first time for a few years that it's decreased from Q2 to Q4.

  • What I see

What I see is a pretty nice upward-trending graph in which their market share consistently dips in Q4. EVERYBODY PANIC!!!

      • huh?

What exactly makes me an apologist? I think the graph shows a clear pattern, and the Q4 results seem to be pretty much right in line with what's been going on for the past few years. Would you dispute that?

  • What about money?

It is interesting to see a market share in numbers. But it does
not make sense. They treat net-books as high end
computers. What about the market share measured in real
    world money?
