Summary: MacBook Air EFI Firmware Update 2.2 which fixes issues with the current-generation, (mid 2011) MacBook Air related to Thunderbolt Display compatibility and Thunderbolt Target Disk Mode performance

Apple has released MacBook Air EFI Firmware Update 2.2 which fixes issues with the current-generation, (mid 2011) MacBook Air related to Thunderbolt Display compatibility and Thunderbolt Target Disk Mode performance.

This update fixes several issues to improve the stability of MacBook Air (mid 2011) computers and is recommended for all users.

This update includes fixes delivered in MacBook Air EFI Firmware Update 2.1 that enhance the stability of Lion Recovery from an Internet connection, and resolve issues with Apple Thunderbolt Display compatibility and Thunderbolt Target Disk Mode performance on MacBook Air (mid 2011) models.

I’m going to install it now and will report back if there are any issues.

WiFi issue finally resolved with this patch
Neurobit Updated - 26th Oct
Thanks for the heads up!
This fixed the (intermittent) WiFi issue that I was experiencing at home when waking my MBA from sleep.
Preview still crashes though. Lion had to be re-built on my three week old Macbook Air after a random crash left it unable to complete its re-boot. I've installed the patch but the Preview problem continues. I've had more crashes in three weeks than my old Macbook had in five years sad Not what I was expecting.

Looking at forums, there are lots of random problems reported, is Lion Apple's equivalent of Microsoft's Vista?
@iomkeith Preview works file on my 2008 MBP but crashes on my Hackintosh, so that issue is hit or miss.
I had plenty of issue with the Macbook Air. I reinstalled OS X Lion from scratch and almost every problem went away, the only one still left is the issue of waking up from sleep of the external monitor, that seems to have still remained no matter what I do.
