iPhone dock exposed

iPhone DockEngadget has posted two pictures of the forthcoming iPhone dock (pictured). Anyone else think that Apple should have made it black to match the iPhone? Also, It's pretty obvious that it won't be dockable in an iPhone case, which was to be expected.

Think Secret has posted a note that the newly revealed iPhone dock may also charge Apple's Bluetooth headset.

By including a charging port for the headset directly on the iPhone's dock, consumers benefit from the convenience of having a single charging station, while attach rates of Apple's headset should see a boost as well.

The other iPhone news revealed in the photo is the new dedicated YouTube button at the beginning of the second row.

  • Why not just a regular dock?

    You have to wonder why they can't just use an iPod Universal Dock since it apparently (?) has an iPod connector and behaves like an iPod as far as iTunes is concerned.
