Let the unlocking begin!
It's official. iPhoneSIMFree is now selling their software-only iPhone unlocking solution to all comers. If you're skeptical, Engadget has tested it (works fine) and has even posted a video of the process from start to finish. US$100 sounds a little spendy to me, but I guess if you've got US$600 US$400 to spend on a smart phone, what's another C-note, right?

The software reportedly survives a complete iPhone restore, but who's to say that Apple won't release a super nasty "bug fix" (at the behest of AT&T) that re-locks the iPhone again? Does this make any potential ISF customers nervous?

While iPhone owners already married to AT&T in the U.S. are probably saying "so what" our friends locked into T-Mobile contracts and people in every other country are undoubtedly lining up to get the goods.
