  • Yipee!!

I tried this out tonight! Compared to rebooting (bootcamp) in Windows XP
and using IE, this is a whole lot better!

I've tried a few movies and it works very well. I like the sort-of previews you
get while dragging the time-cursor, sort of allows a fast scan to find a place.
Still no fast forward / reverse, which I'd like to see (skipping back a minute
to re-watch something is kludgy and not accurate). The video quality is
good, possibly slightly worse than the PC/IE version. Hard to tell without
side-by-side comparison, but it seems a bit blockier and fuzzier. (I'm on a
    17 Mbit cable modem).

But so great to finally have the option! Thank you Netflix!

The supporting Silverlight player will work only on Intel-based Macs, which currently account for roughly three-fourths of Mac units operated by Netflix subscribers. Streaming will work in either Safari or Firefox.
