New screenshots have emerged that purport to show some of the new hardware features rumored to be coming in the third-generation iPhone hardware -- widely expected to be announced at WWDC on 8 June 2009.

The first shots (below) show the difference between the 2MP camera in the current iPhone (left) compared to the same shot taken with the new iPhone's improved 3.2MP camera with auto-focus.

The second shots, courtesy of a Chinese-language blog UMPCFever (via MacRumors), show two other much discussed features.

On the left is the interface for the auto-focus on the iPhone's new 3.2MP camera. Near the middle of the screen is a blue box which can be dragged around to change the object of focus. On the right is a screenshot showing the new digital compass feature expected to be coming in the 6/8 iPhone revision.

What do you think about how the new iPhone is shaping up? Anyone else counting the days until next Monday?
