Not so jolly Rogers: BlackBerry 8800 may be delayed

For weeks now, BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion has been saying that the new BlackBerry 8800- available on Cingular (as you see) for a couple of weeks now- will be available to Canadian customers on Rogers Wireless beginning tomorrow.Well, no word to the contrary, but rumors to that effect.

BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion has applied for a patent that would significantly ease BlackBerry owners use of their devices to connect to audio conference calls.The app is entitled, "System and method for connecting to an audio conference service using a mobile communications device.

BlackBerry as a phone: newer models seem to be improving

Whenever I travel, I always seem to notice at least a few BlackBerry owners who use their Berry as a PDA but also take along a cellphone for voice calls.The perception fueling that dual-handset use is that by and large, BlackBerrys are not very good phones.

BlackBerry 8800 users comment on battery life

Pinstack, which is one of the more popular BlackBerry forums, has been running a poll asking its members who have purchased the BlackBerry 8800 to comment on the extent of the device's battery life.That's always an issue, and not only for BlackBerry by the way.
