Altus365, previously known as simply Altus, is introducing vSearchCloud, a cloud-based rich-media search platform for enterprises.

Basically, the vSearchCloud platform runs on a hybrid cloud infrastructure for the purpose of building multi-format applications and to be accessible from anywhere, anytime on any device, such as desktops and smartphones. (Thus, the addition of "365" to the company's name.)

From there, enterprises users will be able to access multimedia content - most especially movies (i.e. archived web conferences, etc.) but also photos, PowerPoint presentations, text transcripts, audio files and more. Once all of that is taken into the vSearchCloud, it is then fully searchable by keywords or by recommendation and syndicated throughout the company for use.

Altus insists that this represents the "first time" that enterprises are enabled to "access and derive business intelligence from this content."

A few other notable features implemented in vSearchCloud include a scalable content architecture for third-party apps and an analytics system that records data sharing and usage tracking for the purpose of driving revenue.

Going back to third-party applications, vSearchCloud has already prepared and integrated several external enterprise and social media apps, including SalesForce.com, SharePoint, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and the list goes on and on.
