AT&T posts launch plans for WP7-based HTC HD7S smartphone
Back in March, AT&T announced plans to expand its Windows Phone 7 catalog with theHTC HD7S smartphone. Now the launch is imminent.
The real claim to fame with this new handset is that the HD7S is AT&T's largest WP7-based phone with a 4.3-inch WVGA Super LCD touch screen. That makes it just a hair smaller than the other large smartphone AT&T has been boasting about lately: the Android 2.2-based Samsung Infuse 4G.
However, it looks like the HD7S isn't that much different from other WP7 handhelds nor does it offer 4G connectivity. That doesn't mean this won't be a good mobile phone. There are plenty of specs that are worth noting, including a 1Ghz processor, 16GB of onboard storage space, 720p HD video recording, Dolby Mobile and SRS WOW audio, and a built-in kickstand.
HTC's latest smartphone for AT&T falls in the average price range for a smartphone these days at $199.99 with the signing of a two-year service agreement. Expect to see it available online and in stores on Sunday, June 5th.
