Best Buy and Clearwire are teaming up to offer 4G connectivity beginning in 2011.
Under a wholesale deal, Best Buy will use Clearwire’s WiMax network branded under the Best Buy Connect service. In 2011, Best Buy will offer a 4G tier for its services.
Clearwire has a bevy of wholesale deals with companies like Comcast and Sprint to fill its 4G network.
Best Buy’s plan is to offer 3G/4G mobile broadband next year.
Today, Best Buy Connect sells various plans—5GB and 500 MB—for $59.99 to $39.99. The plans are available with or without contracts.
