Research in Motion Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis told analysts on Monday that BlackBerry OS 6.0 will arrive in the third quarter of the 2010 calendar year (between July and September). Lazaridis made the announcement during his keynote at the Capital Markets Day program (view archived replay) in Orlando, ahead of RIM's big Wireless Enterprise Symposium 2010.

In a brief demo, Lazaridis explained that BlackBerry OS 6.0 will be available for both touchscreen and QWERTY devices and that it will deeply integrate RIM's new Webkit mobile Web browser technology. At his WES 2010 keynote on Tuesday morning (see ZDNet's live blog), Lazaridis revealed even more details about OS 6.0 and the future direction of the BlackBerry platform.

Did I hear some one in the 6.0 video say I am so 2008 and your are so
late... I think that pretty much sums up RIMs position. Too freaking
funny that they used that line in the vid. LOL

FALL??? Too little too late for me then. I'll have a Droid or maybe even an iPhone if Apple & Verizon ever get it together! Can't take this thing locking up all the time!
