You know that saying that when mom’s not happy no one is happy. In the corporate world the same thing can be said about CFOs. And the beancounters aren’t happy.

A survey released Friday reveals that 77 percent of CFOs think the U.S. economy will remain the same or get worse in six months. Meanwhile, 39 percent expect more layoffs ahead, according to Grant Thornton, an accounting firm.

Add it up and the results (statement) mean your IT budget will remain under pressure.

CFOs and the corporations could be the biggest IT cheerleaders in the world, but if the revenue isn't coming in then they don't have it to stuff in our pockets.

These stats don't say anything directly towards IT budgets that I can see. Larry is the only one who made the correlation to IT budgets. IT is not mentioned in the survey mentioned.
By not properly funding IT departments at all times, in times of lean and in times of fat.

If their networks bust, the loss in dollars is WELL underweighed by the small savings that they have.
