Cisco on Wednesday acquired Pari Networks, a company that provides network configuration and change management software.
Pari, a privately held company based in Milpitas, Calif., will plug into Cisco’s smart services effort. Cisco’s smart services manage the health of networks proactively.
In many respects, the acquisition is a quick way to add engineers to Cisco’s network services unit. Pari employees will be integrated into Cisco Technical Services.
Here’s a screenshot of Pari’s software.
