Cloud9 IDE intros new JavaScript, Node.js app development tools
Summary: Cloud9 IDE is rolling out a new feature set touted to offer developers the freedom to build and deploy web and mobile apps online anywhere, anytime.
Cloud9 IDE, an online development environment for Javascript and Node.js applications, is rolling out a new suite of developer features for web-only work.
These new tools are being targeted towards professional developers using the open source platform who are interested in using cloud-based technology in their workflows.
Ruben Daniels, CEO and co-founder of Cloud9 IDE, promised in prepared remarks that this feature set means that "web and mobile app development can fully be taken online for a truly untethered approach to build, test, debug and deploy code.”
Most of the new features are what you would see touted by almost anything that involves the cloud these days. That includes real-time collaboration and peer review, customizable user interfaces, and automatic online/offline work synchronization.
One of the tools that might interest some developers in particular would be intelligent auto completion, which provides code suggestions based upon knowledge from the Javascript language and Node.js APIs, designed to help developers better understand how the APIs work.

Never heard of it.
The promo clip didn't really tell me much. It seems to be one of those cutsey promos which tells users about new, easy-to-use products.
Except that most devs are extremely technical, and would rather have power over cute. I wonder if they've forgotten who their target audience is.
