DocuSign is aiming to making digital signatures more accessible and easier to use with its latest release of DocuSign for Salesforce.

The cloud-based service is accessible from "any browser" and supports "virtually any document type" on desktop/laptop computers and mobile devices. Users can enter data and then initial, date, and sign contracts online within minutes while automatically updating Salesforce account data.

Here's a rundown of the major enhancements to the platform:

  • Single log on functionality that enables users to automatically sign into DocuSign with an existing Salesforce username and password
  • Integration with Salesforce Content, Box.net, Dropbox and Google Docs for quicker file sending and signing
  • Integrated into Salesforce Chatter so users can keep track of all documents in real time
  • Collaboration changes are tracked, saved and sent to all parties
  • Users can drag data fields from Salesforce into documents for merging without any additional programming
  • Now location-aware for common languages in more than 50 countries covering 66 percent of the world where DocuSign can be used to securely sign legal documents
  • In-person signing using mobile devices (i.e. iPad) to hand to close a deal with a customer on the spot

For Salesforce customers interested in this service, the full pricing scale is available on DocuSign's website, and these additional features and upgrades are available to use now.
