Dolby Laboratories has revealed a recent shuffle at the top of the audio tech company's leadership ladder.

Dolby is appointing Lewis Chew as the company’s next chief financial officer as well as executive vice president. Chew replaces the current CFO, Murray Demo, effective June 4, 2012.

Demo is planning to retire on June 3, and Dolby reps assured in a statement that Demo will work with Chew to ensure a seamless transition.

For now, Chew will serve on an interim basis as a non-executive, part-time employee at Dolby, starting Tuesday, March 27 through Sunday, June 3.

For a decade until last September, Chew was chief financial officer and senior vice president at National Semiconductor. Before that, he served as corporate controller for two years along with serving as director of Global Internal Audit for one year.

Chew also currently sits on the board of directors for the PG&E Corporation.
