Gartner released part two of its interview with Harvard Professor Clayton Christensen on the topic of disruptive innovation (part one was released last month). In this installment, Christensen offers more strategic insight that companies can use to protect themselves from disruptive competitors. He explains how opportunity should be framed as threat, how data analysis can actually hamper the innovation process, and finally, how to foster disruptive innovation, in which he points to several examples, such as Intel, EMC, and the US Department of Defense. But if you haven't already done so, you may want to read part one first to get the complete picture.
