LAS VEGAS — Although a few Google executives, including executive chairman Eric Schmidt and vice president of location services Marissa Mayer, are making appearances at CES 2012, the company itself doesn’t have a very strong presence at the trade show except through its partners.
Nevertheless, Google is showing support for the world’s largest tech show and its attendees in at least a small but possibly very helpful way: indoor floor maps of the Las Vegas Convention Center, McCarran International Airport, and select hotels and casinos on the Las Vegas strip.

Here’s an example of maps at the MGM Grand and Caesars Palace, the former of which I and hundreds of others had to navigate through tirelessly trying to find Pepcom’s Digital Experience expo:
As you can see, the maps are rather generic and don’t pinpoint specific CES events, but that makes these versatile and useful for any work or personal trip in Vegas. Most of the major locations highlighted are restaurants, clubs and other points of interest to help you find your way in the labyrinth also known as The Venetian — among other resorts.
Unfortunately for iPhone and Windows Phone 7 users, these plans are only available on Google Maps for Android.
