"We have many PC partners who serve their markets exceedingly well and we see no need to enter that market; we would rather partner with great companies," is the official Google statement on the subject. As I posted earlier, Google has enough to do without messing around with multimedia hardware. However, that doesn't mean that Google isn't interested in co-producing an Internet access device, a so-called Google PC, but I'm not betting on it any time soon...

  • Not sure about Google PC either

    I don't see Google pushing hardware devices right now. Clearly they want to see some action on the ISP side of things, but I just don't see a fit for them in the 'real world' hardware market.
