Question: Which vendor will be increasing share of your Linux server spending in 2007?

Answer: 31 percent of CIOs said IBM would gain share; with 19 percent picking HP; Dell got 12 percent and Sun garnered 6 percent.

Question: Which vendor will be increasing share of your x86 (AMD/Intel) server spending in 2007?

Question: If you intend to purchase blade servers in the coming year, what is your preferred vendor?

Question: Which server vendor has most effectively addressed your data center cooling needs?

Answer: HP was cited 21 times with IBM being cited 19 percent. "None" was cited more than Dell, Sun and Rackable. Given that cooling is a two-horse race it's not surprising that IBM contacted Dan Farber after his HP post on data center cooling.
