Interop: Quirky data center formats, NAS and more
David Berlind is turning up some pre-show happenings at Interop in Las Vegas--some off the wall (literally) and some pretty useful. As for the on the wall, David has a post about a wall-mounted data center from a company called Thureon.

As for the on the wall, David has a post about a wall-mounted data center from a company called Thureon. I realize folks need to save space in the data center, but this is a little bit out there.
Among the other items David has cooking:
- NetGear shows 3 terabyte hardware RAID-based NAS (it’s a Web server too).
- Interop GM Lenny Heymann: Green is in, Red (Novell) is back, Web 2.0 is hot.
More coverage will be landing in Testbed throughout the day.
As for Interop coverage elsewhere, NetworkWorld has a bevy of stories and product announcements including Foundry's monster switch, network management tools and an Interop Twitter hunt.
