NetSuite and Amazon partner to bring ERP to cloud

By | April 15, 2010, 9:39am PDT

Summary: NetSuite announced today a partnership with Amazon Web Services to bring its ERP suite to the cloud.

NetSuite said today that it was partnering with Amazon Web Services to enable developers, independent software vendors and customers to build new software apps that “leverage NetSuite’s tightly integrated cloud enterprise resource planning suite” using Amazon Web Services.

SuiteStorage, a connector built using NetSuite’s SuiteCloud development platform to integrate the two, provides NetSuite customers with user interface designed for storing and retrieving files from Amazon S3. Large and data-intensive customers should see a performance boost while still maintaining the integrity of the database in the cloud. In a statement, Guido Haarmans, Vice President of SuiteCloud Developer Network at NetSuite, said:

Connecting the NetSuite and Amazon clouds demonstrates our commitment to helping our customers reduce their IT infrastructure costs and responsibilities. This is another example of how NetSuite customers can gain from an additional and increasing number of efficiencies in their enterprise IT needs.
