Here’s a look at Thursday, June 3, 2010

AT&T is launching tiered pricing for data plans, effective this Monday. Will others, specifically Verizon, follow suit? On the plus side, iPhone tethering - at long last - will finally be available. The down side? Another fee.

A day after Hewlett-Packard outlined plans to invest $1 billion into its enterprise services unit and cut a net 3,000 jobs, CEO Mark Hurd explained the thinking behind the move during a speech at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch technology conference.

Speaking of CEOs offering insight, Steve Jobs’ jab at traditional TV during the D8 conference has some asking whether there’s any innovation out there for television.

With any financial transaction comes risk of some sort. And Zipcar’s filing for an IPO is no exception. In its filing, the company noted, as a risk, its plan to integrate the IT systems of Streetcar, a U.K. rival that Zipcar acquired.

For a peek in motion-control technology, attendees of the D: All Things Digital conference were treated to a demo of Project Natal, Microsoft’s motion control add-on for the Xbox. Check out the gallery here.
