President Obama said he won't release the Bin Laden death photos, which would have been one of the most viewed pictures on the Web.

CBS News reports:

In an interview with Steve Kroft for this Sunday's "60 Minutes," President Obama says he won't release post-mortem images of Osama bin Laden taken to prove his death. Video of the comments will appear on the CBS "Evening News" on Wednesday.

With the decision, tech watchers are likely to stand down on their download monitoring. The Flickr photo of the Whitehouse situation room has been immensely popular and likely to become the most viewed photo. That photo even sparked a meme with Photoshop antics.

Well why would they show you a faked photo, His CIA Buddies are hiding him somewhere.

  • Saw him yesterday. With Elvis.

If they release the photo, people will say it's a fake. If they don't release the photo, people will say bin Laden got away.

  • Why USA is still in Irak?

So is it time to leave Irak and repair all the destruction made to this country?

  • At least he's taken a position on this

CIA chief Leon Panetta, with the backing of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, defied Obama to launch the mission.<br><a href="http://socyberty.com/issues/white-house-insider-obama-hesitated-panetta-issued-order-to-kill-osama-bin-laden/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><a href="http://socyberty.com/issues/white-house-insider-obama-hesitated-panetta-issued-order-to-kill-osama-bin-laden/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://socyberty.com/issues/white-house-insider-obama-hesitated-panetta-issued-order-to-kill-osama-bin-laden/</a></a><br><br>At least this "report" explains his location and attire in the operation room photo!

    • If any part of that report is true, it only illustrates how unqualified

Obama was and is to lead the military and the country.

He's there as a figurehead, like the Queen in England, and all of the real work is performed by the rest of the administration.

      @Richard Flude

Afraid the old tinfoil hat is a bit tight.

Seriously why do Americans think their own government is their enemy - I'm beginning to think it's their lack of a good education system ;-)
      tonymcs@...
      • How did you feel when Bush was being attacked on an hourly basis

by liberals who insulted him like he was the devil and wanted to impeach him for anything and everything?

      • Education System

@tonymcs@... We haven't had a good education system since the creation of the Federal Dept of Education in 1979

  • Fotos won't be released because he fears retaliation by the terrorists.

He fears that, by releasing the photos, that Al-Qaeda might retaliate by putting pictures of any Americans they kill, on the internet for everybody to witness the gruesome pictures. Obama must be the stupidest person ever to hold any position of authority, because, he sounds so clueless when the rest of the world already knows that Al-Qaeda has already been putting gruesome pictures of dead Americans on the internet for the world to see.

@adornoe@... Because Bush deserved it. You would call ANY sitting President stupid for NOT taking action.
Stupid people shouldn't pass judgement on others.

      • You don't make sense, and you sound very incoherent,

and with that, you are the last person on Earth to be talking about "passing judgment".

However, I stick with my judgment about Obama being the stupidest person ever to hold any position of authority.
