After clicking on the “Details” link on the previous screen (in hopes of getting more information to help me decide whether to consent to the update or not), I get quite a spartan (as details go) pop-up. It has even less information about the update that I’m contemplating than the previous summary screens. But, it also has another link (whoopee! yeah!) for more information. Is this user experience really what Microsoft considers to be an adequate consent process? How many users will follow this circuitous route to figure out what this is about (never mind the fact that the first WGA-related download and installation was issued to me under false pretenses and I was never offered the opportunity to consent or refuse that). I go ahead and click on the “More information” link.
