  • Brown and Hagal on "productive friction"

The principles and practices used by Toyota Motor have been described and thrashed around for at least two decades in business books and journals. Mr. Brown and Mr. Hagel appear to have taken that long to repackage what has become common knowledge in new terminology and suggest an analogy with IT development. But one never quite knows what spurs someone stop and think and we all need reminders so perhaps their linguistic cosmetics will help someone see their situation anew.
