Specifically, the two have agreed on a deal in which Polycom's mobile app will appear pre-loaded on the new Motorola Xyboard that will be sold via Verizon.

The mobile version of Polycom's RealPresence platform is optimized to provide video chat connections to standards-based video systems virtually anywhere on the planet, whether it be in conference rooms set up for video calls, laptop computers or other mobile devices.

More specifically, the app lets users view content (i.e. presentations, photos, etc.) simultaneously while in the midst of an HD video call. The program is also customizable when it comes to security, supporting firewall traversal and VPN clients connecting via Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G.

The Droid Xyboard by Motorola pre-loaded with Polycom's RealPresence Mobile solution is now available. The RealPresence Mobile software can also be downloaded for free from Android Market for other tablets, including the Motorola Xoom.

Speaking of the Honeycomb-based tablet, for those of you at CES 2012 this week, the RealPresence Mobile software will be demonstrated on the Motorola Droid Xyboard as well as the Xoom at the Motorola booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center when the show floor is open.
