Porn again: "Dudes" who like it alter San Francisco iPad ads
The message that Steve Jobs has been spreading as it relates to pornography on Apple products has been clear - he's not allowing it. But a group of "dudes who like porn" are sending a message of their own back to Steve and company
During the overnight hours, as attendees of Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference slept, a team of these "dudes" - also known as a group called Freedom from Porn - went around San Francisco and altered iPad advertisements so that it looked like there was porn on the screens. (Check out the video of them making their alterations)
Mind you, these guys didn't go around posting images of, well, actual porn - the acts themselves. Their work was no worse that what kids walking down the sidewalk might be subjected to in magazine racks and lingerie ads.
But their message was clear: despite the "moral responsibility" that Steve Jobs feels he has to protect iPad and iPhone owners from gaining access to porn, there are others who feel that Apple should be a provider of technology products - and nothing more.
No word yet on whether the iPad billboard alterations have been removed.
