Quote of the day: Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer shows his famous sense of humor and competitiveness during an interview with Fortune...

ballmer200.jpgDo you have an iPod?

No, I do not. Nor do my children. My children--in many dimensions they're as poorly behaved as many other children, but at least on this dimension I've got my kids brainwashed: You don't use Google, and you don't use an iPod.

Think you can you crack the iPod market?

It's going to take an innovative proposition. In five years are people really going to carry two devices? One device that is their communication device, one device that is music? There's going to be a lot of opportunities to get back in that game. We want to be in that game. Expect to see announcements from us in that area in the next 12 months.

  • Few Of Ballmer's comments surprise me

These ones didn't either: as with BillY G he rarely understands what's 'actually going on out there' and is invariably a few years late and a few thoughts short of a complete idea - unless he is restating the Blindingly obvious as if it were some recent Microsoft innovation rather than tired old news about the innovations of other, more Talented folks... - Time to give it away Steve.

  • surprise!!

Maybe he should let his kids use the iPod and Google, so he can get some feedback from them why it's so popular.
You know, feed back from the market and the audience, that might help to improve your products.......

Or is it because they have money enough they'll buy Apple and Google at the same time?? NOT...

Of course not. They'll all just carry one device, their Apple iPhone.
