We have two new videos about the Second Life phenomenon. In the first video, Linden Labs CEO Phillip Rosedale predicts that someone working in his company's virtual Second Life environment will become a millionaire. Businesses are springing up within Second Life, such as Hipcast co-founder Eric Rice's 3D convention center (shown below), which allows content creators and marketers skip the Las Vegas trip and rent Hipcast’s meeting center for a negotiated fee and stream live media events virtually.

The second video shows how entrepreneur Kimberly Rufer-Bach is working with University of California-Davis to develop a virtual training environment in the Second Life virtual world. The goal is to prepare, train and aid emergency workers in a simulated setting before they are called on to help in a real-world crisis.
