SuccessFactors acquires Jobs2web for $110 million

Summary: SuccessFactors plans to integrate Jobs2web in its business execution software.

SuccessFactors, which was just acquired by SAP, is making an acquisition of its own with the purchase of Jobs2web for $110 million. .

The company said Tuesday that it will acquire Jobs2web, which is an on-demand recruiting platform. Jobs2web is a software as a service outfit focused on boosting applicant tracking systems via social networks.

Job2web counts 3M, Merck, PepsiCo and Rackspace as customers. The service uses channels ranging from Bing to Facebook to LinkedIn and Twitter. SuccessFactors plans to integrate Jobs2web in its business execution software.

SuccessFactors said there was a “competitive acquisition fight” for Jobs2web, which brings 150 new customers to SuccessFactors. Jobs2web will be a unit inside of SuccessFactors.
