A couple of internal T-Mobile documents have been leaked, revealing the return of a very useful feature along with the debut of a pair of new add-ons.

According to the screenshots published by TmoNews, T-Mobile will bring back unlimited Wi-Fi calling on May 11. It's a fairly straightforward concept: T-Mobile customers can make phone calls over Wi-Fi without deducting from in-plan minutes. However, it will only be a free feature for subscribers with Even More, Even More Plus and 4G Do More rate plans.

Additionally, T-Mobile is expected to unveil Name ID. Basically, it's an enhanced version of caller ID that reveals not only the name and number, but also the city and state of unblocked numbers not stored in the phone's contacts. Such a feature already exists on some other smartphones (namely the iPhone), but it's still helpful to have.

Finally, T-Mobile is upgrading the Visual Voicemail service with Voicemail-to-Text, which is also very obvious. Users can opt to receive voicemails in SMS text form.  Both Name ID and Voicemail-to-Text are planned to be active starting on May 22.

    With nearly a 500,000 net subscriber loss last quarter, T-Mobile is grasping at straws here. AT&T couldn't have come along at a better time. I just wish FCC & DOJ would expedite the approval process, and Sprint keep it's nose out of it.

      Im happy Sprint is in the middle of this. Expedite the process of having only one GSM carrier in the US with ...

      * The worst coverage
      * Worst tech support
      * Draconian pricing schemes

      I dont think so, and guess what..I'm with AT&T with an IPhone 4. Worst service I have ever had.

        Quite happy with ATT here!! believe it or not I actually pay less with ATT than I used to pay with Tmobile... I even have a microcell tower at home! how cool is that, my own cell tower!!

        Left AT&T family plan for the Sprint family plan with 5 EVO 4G. Yes, it was about dropped calls and time to move to smartphones. iPhone was not appealing (one of my sons have it).

        Neither Verizon nor AT&T could come near the monthly fee of $250 for the plan with everything unlimited.

        I've used both and I certainly don't believe you.

      @podstolom Do you not realize it lost those customers BECAUSE of the att announcement? Anyone with a brain knows tmobile is the best and fairest out of them all. Anyone with a brain also knows att is shit and wants nothing to do with it. I almost jumped ship myself. Just gonna wait in hopes that the government will actually protect the people (LOLOLOLOL) and not let this go through.

    Uh. T-Mobile is great. I can't fathom why people leave.

    Free tethering, great customer service, great coverage (in my area, admittedly).

      I wouldnt of left but my wife had one black hole where it didnt work but AT&T did. I personally would of loved to stay on it.

      @Droid101 In my case it was because T-Mobile sucks out loud in my area... AT&T, VZW, and Sprint are much better than T-Mob in my area... and in that order based on my personal experiences.
