I cleaned 5 keyboards this way, no detergent, no power dry. They come out spotless and as long as you dry them 100% after in the sun or for several days, they all work.

They look like new.

Every now and again I turn it upside down and tap the keyboard in different directions. After that, with the PC turned off, a moist cloth with some windows cleaner. If a key gets sticky, then I unscrew the back and wask it completely with some mild soap, rinse and let the ekyboard dry for at least 6 hours in the sun before putting it all back together. Treat it gently so as not to loose any parts!

Tip # 1B --- Just turn the keyboard upside-down and gently tap the corner of it it on your desk. If chunks and dust fall out, that will let you know that it is time for further steps !
