Twitter sprucing up with purchase of web design studio Nclud

Twitter might be getting a makeover in one way or another with the acquisition of web design startup Nclud.

We might be seeing some new designs on Twitter soon as the microblogging giants has acquired web design studio Nclud.

Naturally, the announcement was confirmed via tweet by Nclud's co-founder and director of brand experience Martin Ringlein. He added that he'll be joining Twitter as the company's new design manager.

He won't be the only one moving to Twitter's new San Francisco headquarters. The Next Web reports that other members of the Washington, D.C. based startup will also be moving west to join the Twitter team.

Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, and Twitter has not publicly confirmed what its exact intentions for Nclud are at this point.

But TNW did add that the social network will be using Nclud to beef up its international design efforts. It remains to be seen if that refers to advertising or new layouts for its desktop and mobile apps as well.

Nclud is just one of a handful of acquisitions Twitter has made in the last several months, following social network aggregator Summify in January and another simple blog platform, Posterous, in March.
