Zero Day blogger Dancho Danchev: he's back

Boy, Dancho, you had us worried.

Our dear cybersecurity expert Dancho Danchev, who mysteriously disappeared back when the leaves were only begin to turn colors here in New York City, is back in the saddle. (And doing just fine, thank you.)

He writes:

Catching up in progress, lots of positive things have happened on multiple fronts, inbox looks pretty messy. Did you miss me, folks?

Dancho says he's ready to "get down to business/blogging/exposing cybercrime ecosystems" on ZDNet's popular Zero Day blog, and "the best is yet to come."

We hope so, too. Welcome back.

        The article about his disappearance involved him being spied on and disappearing with two mystery photo's. My "manchurian blogger" comment is a humorous reference that the cybercrime blogger is flipped to help some dubious, shadowy organization that orchistrated his disappearance.

        It's funny because he's back safe, that's why I posted it on the article about his return. Not the first one about his unknown whereabouts. Haven't you ever made a joke after a scary event?

        But given that ZDnet had everyone worked up about it, I just thought people might want more of the story. No judgement on the guy (people very close to me have been in similar straits), and yes, I'm very glad he's OK.

    So if he's back and I really hope he is, then how come ZDNET hasn't made the Zero Day blog adjustment of putting his pic back up there ? Instead it's being reported Mr Nusca in the 'between the lines' blog. Should we be reading in between the lines ?

    And his tweet doesn't make sense. Positive things have happened ? But his supposed letter to a trusted friend spelled out trouble, in a negative way.

      @TxM2xTx We made the announcement on Between the Lines because this is where we, the editors, generally make announcements. If you're looking for Dancho's posts, Zero Day is where it's at.

      (And I'd say you should be reading both blogs! But hey, I'm an editor.)
