After many delays, Apple is set to finally ship Mac OSX Leopard on October 26. This is a real date, honest. Here, go read the press release yourself.
I wouldn't bother mentioning this except that the launch date has been the subject of so much speculation over the past few months. Even my friend Adam Houghton got in on the action, predicting it would come out on October 9th. Oh well, can't win 'em all.
Anyone who bought a Mac on October 1st or later will get a $9.95 upgrade, otherwise the new OSX will set you back $129.
Now tell me again, Steve, how late Longhorn/Vista was?
