In addition to syncing with your Mac you can also add and remove programs, schedule automatic backups, encrypt backup files and install firmware updates to your BlackBerry device. BlackBerry Media Sync is also included so you can sync iTunes to your BlackBerry (Palm should develop software like this for the Pre). Album art is also supported with Media Sync. This is great news for BlackBerry owners who have a Mac and I hope to try it with a trial BlackBerry soon.

that's how you do it right, palm! write your own software, rather than
tricking itunes to believe the pre is an ipod.

there is an ethical way for interoperability and rim got it right. palm - not
    so much.

    • While I agree with you ...

It is sad to see Palm, who back in the day had the best sync software sink this low.

Mac users don't bother it with this it isn't ready, if your desparate and are up
on 10.6 you might try, in any case check out support forum on Blackberry
site before you dare to attempt, It's been a disaster and run-arounds are
given blackberry are all Mac OS preference orientated, for example in OS
10.6 you have to change to 32K, and reboot as 64 k doesn't seem to be
    working.
Basically maybe 3 out of 50 problems are closed with a solution and in
those, it's runaround until they figure it out or some body fixed problem
themselves of course the preverbial, I don't know how, the tech host came
on asking him to share how for the benefit of others, she already stated she
    hadn't a clue.
I had to delete everything and lost my telephone contact list. which luckily is
backed up, but since mac really isn't suported I have to re-enter on PDA
    again.
Also 10.5.5 and up supported, so anyone who runs both 9 and 10 for old
client software you're out of luck. Tiger isn't THAT old, They support XP on
    PC's.
Time to go to iphone, PDA 199. cheaper with extention my contract has
expired a year ago, iphone are along same pricing at AT&T as their
    blackberry.
Again PC people failing to create viable programs for mac.
I heard they actually hired Mac techs to help test the new 7 system, I don't
know if it's true. A PC person at a computer store, told me about it,
