CES: AT&T reveals HTC Inspire 4G with HSPA+ data support

Summary: AT&T will soon get an EVO-like large display HTC Android device with support for its HSPA+ 4G data network.

CES 2011

AT&T hasn't been a leader in Android smartphones with the mid-level HTC Aria and restricted Samsung Captivate. Today HTC announced the HTC Inspire 4G (PDF document) that brings an HTC EVO-like device to AT&T, complete with 4G data support.

The HTC Inspire 4G has the following specifications:

  • Snapdragon 1 Ghz processor
  • Android 2.2 OS
  • 4GB internal storage and microSD card slot
  • 4.3 inch WVGA Super LCD display
  • HSPA+ support on AT&T (4G)
  • Integrated hotspot support
  • 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash

The Inspire 4G is nearly the same device as the HTC EVO 4G on Sprint with a GSM radio. Pricing and availability information hasn't been revealed yet, but it will likely come in at the standard $199.99 high end subsidized smartphone price.
