MobileTechRoundup show #214; Microsoft Kin was not my idea

By | July 4, 2010, 12:30pm PDT

Summary: This week was not a shining week in the mobile space with Apple and Microsoft both having bad news that was actually self created. We enjoyed recording this show as I was starting up my 4th of July camping trip.

There was quite a bit of bad news in the smartphone world this past week and as you can hear in MobileTechRoundup show #214 James, Kevin, and I first talked about the iPhone 4 signal issues and Apple’s rather lame response to the issue. Microsoft also killed off the Kin this week and the news could be seen as good or bad, depending on your perspective. Will we see Intel-powered smartphones at the beginning of next year and is there a need with all of the excellent ARM devices? We also chatted a bit about the mSpot service on Android and what works for us for our mobile phone music needs.
