Share your meal memories with others via Evernote Food for Android

Evernote continues to roll out their application suite across multiple platforms and today we see the launch of Evernote Food for Android.

Evernote is one of the first apps I load on my smartphones so I can have all of my notes synced up and be ready to capture things as I am out and about. They continue to develop a host of other apps for smartphones and the latest release today is Evernote Food for Android. We saw the release of this for iOS back in December and I expected this Android release given that Hello just came to Android last week.

Similar to what Evernote was able to do with Hello, the experience with Evernote Food is enhanced compared to the iOS version. I see people goofing around with their phones at restaurants all the time, so why not take a minute or two and share your experiences with others so they can make more informed food choices. I just installed it on my HTC One X and plan to start using it tonight. With Evernote Food you can perform the following:

  • Swipeable snapshots with captions: Captions help you remember every detail of your meal, whether you're cooking your way through a new recipe at home or enjoying a new restaurant in town
  • Titles and tags: You can add your own titles and tags, or if you leave it blank, Evernote Food will add titles and tags based on the time of day and your location.
  • Location powered by FourSquare: Evernote for Android instantly displays venues and restaurants near your location.
  • Meal list: All of the meals and food experiences that you capture are displayed in a scrollable list.

You can find Evernote Food in the Google Play store right now and install it for free. You can check out a video of Evernote Food for Android in action.
