Sprint HTC EVO 4G reviews starting to appear

The Sprint HTC EVO 4G looks to be one of the hottest devices of the summer and reviews are not starting to appear across the Internet. Does the EVO 4G live up to the specs and hype?

The smartphone with the best specifications ever to date is launching on 4 June on SPrint and some first impressions and reviews are starting to appear for the Sprint HTC EVO 4G. We should be getting one tomorrow and will post on Monday or Tuesday after a weekend of use. I am posting my summer smartphone lineup tomorrow here on ZDNet and am personally trying to figure out my smartphone purchases and retentions, including the Pre Plus on Verizon, EVO 4G on Sprint, myTouch Slide on T-Mobile, or new iPhone on AT&T. Anyway you look at it, this summer is going to be hot for smartphones with the EVO 4G launching on the heals of the very hot HTC Incredible and T-Mobile HTC HD2.

Attendees at the Google I/O keynote were each given an HTC EVO 4G, but the rest of us are going to have to wait until June 4th. I can't wait to try it out because I do find lots of value in Sprint's offerings and think their Overdrive 4G device is a nice way to connect wirelessly on the go.

Check out these first impressions and review articles:

Most reviews concluded that the device is in the upper tier (4/5, 8.3/10) of the rating systems and is an excellent device. It seems it is highly dependent on your 4G availability and since I live in an area with quite a strong 4G signal I may really like this beast of a device. Stay tuned for our first impressions early next week.
