I have written in the past about Taptu, including coverage of their Touch Web Directory, and today we see their announcement of a major Android update. The latest version of Taptu for Android is available for free now in the Market and brings Android Market software into the mix with other search results. Other new features include some user interface elements, search filters, saved search results, the ability to share, and landscape orientation support.
The example given for the Android Market integration is that searching for weather brings you both the Weather Channel website and the Weather Channel application. Flicking through search results cards is the new interface addition and is really very slick on my HTC EVO. I particularly like the upper right search filter user interface and highly recommend you try this out. Taptu for Android supports sharing via Facebook, Twitter, or email too so you can easily let others know about a cool search result you discover.
I personally use another one of their products, Wapedia, as my default Wikipedia search application on my Android devices and recommend you check out this free product too. They have versions for the iPhone, Android, and Palm webOS platforms as well as a mobile site for other devices.
